Senior Transportation

1. Seniors

2. Persons with disabilities

3. Persons who have no means of transportation – where destinations are out of walking distance, the person is unable to walk or in the event of inclement weather.

All clients wishing to access the van must phone the FCSS office (780) 657-3540 BEFORE 9:00am morning of the route.

For reasons such as

1. To and from health and daily living related appointments, pharmacy, post office, grocery store, banks, hairdresser, doctor’s appointments, etc.

2. Visiting friends/relatives at their place of residence – husband in nursing home and wife still at home.

3. To attend community functions – elections, concerts, special dinners, etc ( Must have a minimum of 4 people wishing to attend function).

Rides are based on a donation bases. Payment is due at the time service is provided and can be given directly to driver.

Hours of Operation:  Effective, 2017, van route will be on every Wednesday of the week.  Van does not run on Statutory holidays.  Van route begins pickups at 10:00am and runs until noon.  Estimated pickup times are arranged when client calls for service.

Van does not run when weather is colder than -25 C. Van is used strictly within town limits and not allowed out of town.  Van is no longer wheel chair accessible.
